“Maintaining Human Influence in Technology: The Power of Critical Thinking”, is focused on people’s influence, purpose, thinking, and responsibility to maintain a healthy “humanistic” balance in a technological world.
This book focuses on the ramifications from modern technology, especially with Artificial Intelligence (AI) automation and tools. Through technology’s evolution from one century to the next, there is an increase in over dependance on tech and a decline in human thinking.
Concerns about a decline in cognitive thinking associated with AI is growing as AI use advances. This is largely because of how these tools reshape the way individuals engage with mentally demanding tasks instead of demonstrating a direct reduction in intelligence itself.
What makes the idea of cognitive decline in the age of AI feel real to many people is not a sudden loss of intelligence, but a gradual shift in habits that quietly reshapes how thinking happens day to day.
The Human Influence in Technology is a concept phrased to explain the dynamic relationship people have with technology and put an emphasis on the people’s influences on outcomes from creating and using technology. This concept is directly related to self-knowledge, as explained in my book Self Knowledge and Knowledge Applications.
We’re at a critical moment when everyone must consider the consequences of rushing through information without truly understanding it, simply to make quick decisions. My new book provides a practical system to learn, teach, and improve your critical thinking skills.
